Social Posting Automation

Social Posting Automation is a multi-user platform that takes the repetitive work out of running a social media presence. Users connect their LinkedIn profiles, LinkedIn company pages and Facebook Pages, define the topics they want to talk about, and bring their own AI provider key. The platform then drafts on-brand posts, routes them through an optional approval step, schedules them per time zone and publishes them automatically — either one at a time or on a recurring daily, weekly or monthly rule.

Objective

  • Save time: replace manual writing, copy-pasting and posting across networks with one workflow.
  • Keep control: users own their AI keys (BYOK) and choose between human approval or instant auto-posting.
  • Stay consistent: topic seeds and prompt templates keep tone, audience and length on-brand at any volume.
  • Go hands-free: recurring automations generate and publish fresh content with no daily effort.

User Flow

1. Sign up & guided onboarding

A six-step Setup Journey (Profile → Channels → Topics → AI Assistant → Automations → Launch) takes a new user from registration to a ready workspace in minutes.

2. Connect social channels

LinkedIn and Facebook accounts are authorised via OAuth 2.0; the app never handles passwords and tracks token status and expiry.

3. Define topics & add an AI key

Content topics act as content pillars. Users add an encrypted OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or OpenRouter key and pick a model.

4. Generate or write content

The AI Post Studio generates drafts from a topic + prompt template (with optional AI images); posts can also be written in a rich-text editor with media.

5. Approve & schedule

Each post chooses Approval Required or Auto Post Immediately, its target channels, and an optional date, time and time zone.

6. Publish & automate

A scheduler runs every minute to publish due posts and execute recurring auto-post rules, recording per-channel delivery status.

Key Features

  • BYOK AI engine — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini and OpenRouter behind one provider interface; keys are encrypted at rest, and only a short hint is ever displayed.
  • Prompt templates — reusable prompts with {topic} and {description} placeholders control audience, tone, length, CTA and hashtags.
  • Rich post editor — formatting, links and up to 10 images via quick upload or the media library.
  • Approval & scheduling — Draft → Approved → Published states, time-zone aware multi-channel scheduling, and immutable per-channel delivery records.
  • Recurring automations — daily, weekly or monthly rules that generate AI content from chosen topics and publish to a target account.
  • Admin panel — user management, audit logs, CMS pages, website settings and editable transactional email templates.

Architecture & Technical Highlights

  • Stack: Laravel 13 (PHP 8.3), MySQL 8, Fortify/Jetstream auth with Super Admin / User roles; Blade, Alpine.js, TailwindCSS and a WYSIWYG editor.
  • Pluggable publishers: a SocialPublisherFactory resolves Facebook (Graph API) and LinkedIn (UGC API) publishers behind a common interface, so new networks slot in without touching the core flow.
  • Pluggable AI providers: an AIProviderFactory abstracts OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini and OpenRouter; every generation is logged with model, latency and status.
  • Background processing: two scheduled commands — posts:publish-scheduled and automations: process — run every minute via cron, with a queued PublishPostJob for delivery.
  • Security & compliance: OAuth state verification, encrypted API keys and tokens, audit logging of key actions, and a self-service “delete my data” option.

Outcome

A production-deployed platform where a user can go from sign-up to a fully automated, AI-assisted posting pipeline in under five minutes — while keeping ownership of their AI keys, final say over what is published, and a transparent record of every delivery.
